the Orthopedic/Surgery Center during business

Livestrong at the YMCA Education Series
This week's FREE lecture is The Power of a Positive Attitude in Cancer Treatment presented by Brad Lair, MD - Medical Oncology and Hematology Associates.  This weekly class is held on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 6:30 pm and is always free and open to the public. 

Plan for Spring Break Activities now!  Register for Preschool Wellness or Active Youth to keep your children healthy and active during spring break.  There's more information here.

 March is MS Awareness Month
The YMCA Healthy Living Center is dedicated to the Health and Fitness needs of all individuals.  This month we are focusing on MS and inviting those who have been diagnosed with MS to try our unique approach to Medical Programming and our facility for free.  Visit our Member Service desk to get started.  Mark your calendars for the Meet and Greet with staff and friends from the National MS Society on March 10th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.

Sewing for Love
Make a pillowcase . . . make a difference!  Every pillowcase will be given to the Ronald McDonald House to be shared with a child or parent that is staying there.  Bring:  a sewing machine (if possible), a standard pillow, and washed fabric (3/4 yard by 42 inches, 1/4 yard border material).  Donations will be taken for supplies, with excess going to the Ronald McDonald House.  Call to register at 226-9622, for questions contact Becky Short at 987-8867 or bsueshort@aol.com
