Health Screening

Health screening is designed to assess general physical health, lifestyle, and disease risks. It provides specific suggestions for lifestyle modifications to decrease the risk of diseases such as heart attack, stroke, and cancer, and provides information to enhance wellness. Health screens are completely confidential and individual results will be returned to each participant.

Personal Health Profile
This Health Risk Assessment along with clinical data obtained at the health screen is processed and results in an individual Personal Health Report. This personalized report identifies disorders for which the participant may be at risk and the degree of that risk. Specific suggestions are offered for reducing these risks.

Comprehensive Blood Profile
This complete blood profile contains the Chemistry Panel that screens for diabetes, kidney & liver disease, and measures electrolytes and vital minerals. The relative risk of developing coronary artery disease is assessed in this panel by measuring the components of the Lipid Profile.

Benefits:
Individual results provide participants with information on what he/she is doing well and what lifestyle changes he/she may want to consider. A nurse reviews all lab results and individuals with significant abnormalities are contacted as soon as possible. As participants screen over time they receive a comparison to previous screenings to allow them to track their progress. Approximately 3 weeks after the screen, individualized reports are mailed to individual's homes; any critical or high readings will be handled with a phone call within 24 hours.
